We Invite You to Join the World of Iris

Founded in 1957, and named after Clara B. Rees who made iris history in 1939 with the world’s first ruffled iris
“Snow Flurry”.

“Queen Mother of the Iris World”

We have ten general meetings per year, open to the public, from September through June.

Our meetings are iris and/or garden centric and include a speaker who either has a demonstration or who shows slides on the topic of the evening. After the presentation, we break for socializing and refreshments, and then reconvene for our business meeting. We end with a raffle of Door Prize Iris.

We have an annual judged show in April with artistic and horticultural displays. We sell potted iris at the show.

We also sell our beautiful iris at the Master Gardener Spring Garden Market at Martial Cottle Park, in the spring. In the late summer and fall, we sell our rhizomes at local nurseries and other local events.

Other activities include our annual picnic held in July and a holiday dinner in December.
